Simple way to install htop on cPanel/CentOS server

If you need to install htop pn cPanel – Centos server and you do not want to add alternative repositaries

The shortest way to do it is to choose right version and manually install it.

1 Check whiich version of CentOS we have

#cat /etc/redhat-release

Mine is CentOS release 6.3 (Final)

2 Check which arhitecture we have 64 or 32

#uname -m

Mine was x86_64

3 Choosing right version from the list here http://pkgs.repoforge.org/htop/

Mine was htop-1.0.1-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm RHEL6 and CentOS-6 x86 64bit

4 Downloading it

#wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/htop/htop-1.0.1-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

5 Installing

#rpm -i htop-1.0.1-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

6 Now you can run it with htop command -)

#htop
